Why Ravioli, Ravioli, Ravioli?

Lets face it, thinking up a half decent name for anything is difficult. Trying to think of a website name which hasn’t already been taken, isn’t too long to remember and isn’t just your name is next to impossible, or at least it is when, like me, you completely lack a decent level of creativity.

I did the obvious and focussed on what I wanted this site to be about, namely photography, repair and technology. There will be a few other bits and pieces in here that don’t fit those categories and I’m sure it’ll probably end up morphing into something entirely different. Anyhow, I’m not sure that “www.photoreptech.com” quite rolls off the tongue.

“What’s for dinner tonight?” “Ravioli.”

Coming back to this idea of three core topics, my mind made the obvious connection between the number three and the episode of “The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin” where, during a mid life crisis/breakdown, Reggie goes to a restaurant and deliberately orders the same meal three times. When told by the waiter that Ravioli isn’t a sweet, he insists “I came here for a well balanced, three course meal, Ravioli, followed by Ravioli, with a Ravioli desert.”

A well balanced three course meal? Seems a tenuous enough link to me. Job done.
